Our Riding Program

Lucia Farm's boarders are also our students. We can provide non-horse owners with an excellent selection of wonderful school horses and ponies. We specialize in dressage and jumping. The majority of the lessons are given by the owner or her qualified assistant instructors. New students or beginner riders are started in a series of half-hour private lessons in which they may continue or join a group of their peers. Lessons are given Monday through Saturday and are arranged with flexibility for everyone's schedule.

Currently the cost of the half-hour private lesson is $60, the semi-private is $50, and the one-hour group lesson is $45. Students will be assisted, if necessary, with learning how to groom and tack their horse in addition to their riding time. Appropriate clothing is required which includes long comfortable pants and a shoe/boot with a well defined heel (1 inch or larger). No tennis shoes please. Scheduling is arranged by contacting Lucia Farm via telephone. All calls will be returned within 24 hours or less. Saturday or evening lessons may require a wait in scheduling. Please call well in advance.
